Strategic appointment at Strategic Resources
Gray, who previously held the role of senior recruitment consultant, has worked with Strategic Resources since 2005. He is a member of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and has over 13 years’ experience in the recruitment industry in north-east Scotland.
Located in the city centre, Strategic Resources provides recruitment and associated services to the energy industry. In his new role Gray will become increasingly involved in contract reviews and tender preparation, while continuing to source and place individuals with client companies.
Shonah Raffan, strategic resources managing director, said, “During his time with Strategic Resources Gary has made a valuable contribution to the company. We are extremely pleased to appoint him to a director-level position and know that his knowledge and experience will add strength to our management team as we continue to develop our services.
“Strategic Resources has grown consistently over the past 26 years, establishing a large client base in the oil and gas sector. We have worked very hard to become self-financing – something that is fairly unusual for a recruitment agency. The outlook for the oil and gas sector remains positive, which is extremely encouraging as we look to grow our business in the coming years.”
Gray is looking forward to the fresh challenges ahead. “I get immense satisfaction from helping people to move their careers forward,” he said. “Strategic Resources is a thriving and busy agency and I am pleased to have the opportunity to become more closely involved in the various aspects of its work.”
Gray's appointment as associate director follows the addition of two new faces to the Strategic Resources’ team. Graduates Matthew Foster and Aga Kartasinska joined the company in the latter half of 2013 in the roles of recruitment consultant and commercial assistant respectively.
