First ever digital-only board level recruitment platform launches
Nurole is an invitation-only website where non-executives and trustees add their professional credentials to the company’s database and organisations post board-level roles for both commercial and not-for-profit organisations. Nurole then intelligently matches qualified individuals with relevant roles available, both today and on an ongoing basis.
Nurole arrives amidst a growing recognition within companies of the benefits of a diversified board. A recent survey commissioned by Nurole and conducted with senior HR professionals, found that almost nine in ten (87%) expect the online recruitment of NEDs to make it easier to identify younger, more digitally sophisticated talent, while two in three (67%) expect Nurole’s platform to make it easier to achieve greater board diversity.
Susie Cummings, founder of Nurole said, “I believe that Nurole signals a significant step change in the executive search industry and the process by which senior professionals are recruited to boards. It leverages all the benefits we see in other digital platforms - access to a wider pool of data, a more efficient process, higher-quality results, and significantly lower cost to the process of board-level recruitment.
“For organisations, Nurole is perfect as it reflects their specific requirements exactly, recommending only relevant individuals who are in a position to take on the requirements of the job and without conflicts. Likewise, for individuals, Nurole will only make them aware of roles that match their interests and skills and for which they have capacity. It is then up to them whether they choose to make an application.”
She added, “I believe it has taken so long for the non-executive search sector to catch up with the digital revolution because the people it targets are generally already well-networked. However, in an ever more globally competitive world organisations and individuals must reach outside their existing networks and beyond the limitations of an individual head hunter’s contacts. It is also clear that the experience of senior executives on existing digital platforms such as LinkedIn - where they are likely to have been inundated with multiple connection requests from strangers - makes them question the benefits of a public online presence.
“Nurole addresses these issues through its focus on providing a discreet and secure service that only selectively matches people with jobs and opportunities that are right for them. This is a headhunting platform gone digital, not a technology platform turned recruiter”.
