Italy beckons young footballers sponsored by UK recruitment agency
The Rotherham-based team are sponsored by Provide Education, a specialist recruitment agency which places hundreds of supply teachers and support staff into schools across South Yorkshire and East Midlands every month.
Provide Education’s managing director Barry Simmons said: “We have been delighted to sponsor Dinnington Town’s junior football team throughout this season and it is fantastic to see the young players gain such an amazing experience at the end of it.
“It will not just be about the football but the whole experience of playing in a different country with a different culture, language and customs. They boys will experience competitive football in another country. They’ll also play in a formal stadium setting and we’re told the tournament attracts local TV coverage. The kids are very excited about the whole experience.”
Provide Education Ltd sponsor the Dinnington team’s strip and the squad have new hooded tops for the expedition. The sponsorship is part of the company’s commitment to investing in youth and community projects on its patch.
The Dinnington team’s unique invitation to be special guests at 7-aside competition in Italy came via team coach Adrian Knight’s Italian connections – his girlfriend Paola Bortolozzo is Italian and the couple regularly visit her family out there. After chatting to people involved in the youth football scene during their last visit, an invitation to participate came though the post.
