RECs Kevin Green elected vice president of global recruitment body
Green becomes one of four vice presidents of Ciett, the international confederation of private employment agencies, and takes a seat on its 18-strong board. He will have a specific focus on the development of the national federations around the world as chair of Ciett’s National Federations Committee. This is an unpaid role, fulfilled in addition to his ongoing responsibilities leading the REC in the UK.
Commenting, managing director of Ciett, Denis Pennel, says, “We are delighted that Kevin has been elected by his peers and we look forward to working more closely with him as a member of our board. Together we will be focusing on how we develop and grow our federations across the globe. Kevin’s experience of running one of our largest and most successful national professional bodies will be invaluable in helping us pursue our goal of increasing the profile of our industry the world over.
Green stated, “I am delighted to get more actively involved in our global federation. Ciett has made great progress over recent years in raising the profile of the staffing industry globally. However, as our economies return to growth there is a huge opportunity to champion flexible work as a way of maximizing employment, helping competitiveness and supporting people to have fulfilling working lives. I look forward to working with all our sister federations and the Ciett team to make an even greater positive impact in the coming years.”
