Sol Technology Partners makes acquisition

Specializing in IT and finance, LEHAN serves national and regional clients.  The company was founded in 2009 and has deployed hundreds of consultants with clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

This marks Sol&uuml’s second acquisition and its first office in the South, allowing for a stronger presence there and putting the company in closer proximity to existing clients in Atlanta. The company’s reach now spans the eastern, western and southern parts of the U.S. Just over a year ago in April 2013, Sol&uuml acquired Technology Staffing Solutions and established an office in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sol&uuml’s president, Jim Smith, said, “The acquisition of LEHAN expands our access to talent, advances the depth of services Sol&uuml can provide, expands Sol&uuml’s national client base, increases opportunities for employees, and further solidifies our growth as a national full service company that can help clients with their needs across the full professional services spectrum, from IT to finance.

“We are continuously focused on connecting clients with the best possible professionals to support their initiatives and to make the most of every business opportunity,” added Smith. “To do that, we are always looking for new opportunities to better serve our clients and consultants on a national basis.

“Sol&uuml increasingly performs technology projects across client operations into areas such as finance.  And LEHAN helps clients in the areas of technology and finance. So leveraging LEHAN’s expertise in finance will evolve how we both support clients.

“We look forward to welcoming Bruce Smith, former Managing Partner for LEHAN, and Alex Bruce, LEHAN’s former Partner and Senior Vice President - Sales and Delivery Operations, and their entire team into the Sol&uuml family,” said Jim Smith. “As we expand our presence in the South, we expect that over time we will increase the size of our team.”

Both Smith and Bruce will become directors of Sol&uuml and work in coordination with Jerry Jewell, Sol&uuml’s Chief Operating Officer. Smith will develop Sol&uuml’s finance-based offerings nationwide, and Bruce will focus on - expanding the company’s presence in the South.  Sol&uuml’s Atlanta office will be located in the former LEHAN offices at Five Concourse Parkway, Suite 2850. All client and consultant relationships will remain the same, providing for a smooth and seamless transition.

“We started 2014 with a lot of momentum,” said Alex Bruce, “Being able to gain access to Sol&uuml’s broader resources and capabilities provides our team with even greater ability to fuel our growth. Sol&uuml’s reputation as a strategic partner and family-oriented culture were two important traits that will benefit LEHAN clients and employees.” Bruce has more than 20 years experience in the finance and accounting industry as well as business development, practice and sales leadership and general management experience working with clients across the IT, finance, accounting, audit, and risk professional services landscape.

Bruce Smith added, “Our clients will now benefit from access to more extensive IT and finance services that will include resources and recruiting on a national scale.” Smith has more than 20 years experience in finance and accounting and in driving long-term relationships with Fortune 100 companies and start-ups.
