Syntax Gear Up For Recruitment Growth
The company, based in College Place, has been operating for more than 27 years. During the economic downturn, Syntax committed to significant investment in a new world-class recruitment system, data intelligence technology, integrated marketing system and an online timesheet system to give its clients a quicker and more efficient service, and its staff access to best of breed tools to help them outperform their competitors.
Following an upturn in the recruitment market, Syntax are planning to grow its workforce from 35 to 50 over the next 18 months to meet the demand.
New recruitment consultants are being sought across both its IT and engineering and technical teams to handle a range of services including permanent, contract and temporary staff senior and executive search, graduate campaigns and talent management.
Syntax is also looking for consultants to grow its rapidly expanding client base in the rail and advanced engineering sectors – reflecting the increased demand for skills in the industries both home and abroad.
Syntax Consultancy Sales Director Jeremy Gibson explained: “Following a period of significant reinvestment in our business during what was a challenging market, we are now seeing the returns from that and have seen extensive growth in the business over the past year which mirrors the increased optimism and expansion in both engineering and IT.
“Rail and advanced engineering, particularly in the aerospace, automotive and power and energy fields are key growth sectors for us with an expanding client base locally, nationally and globally in areas such as the Middle East.
“Derby is the world’s largest cluster of rail companies and also the UK’s largest hi-tech city, and we’re proud to play a part in helping Derby maintain its number one status.
“Because of our expertise within these markets we are getting increased business from international companies who recognise Derby as a centre of excellence for skills in these sectors and are looking to recruit people here to work abroad.
“In our IT division, we are seeing fantastic growth from the Education and NHS markets, for which we are a Government approved recruitment supplier, and also from global consultancies looking for specialist IT talent to work throughout EMEA.
