Transline Group announces promotion
Birkby, 30, has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks of Transline Group after initially joining as an Account Manager in June 2011. Working at the firm’s Tamworth site in the midlands, he was responsible for supporting Transline’s relationship with a major supermarket by providing bespoke recruitment solutions.
Since then, Doncaster-born Chris has helped the business to achieve 100% growth across its industrial operations, leading on standardising processes, building internal structure and boosting Transline’s management team. He has also recently increased his responsibilities to include both industrial and technical operations, which will form the main duties of his new role.
The former communications technician had three years prior experience in recruitment before he was headhunted by Transline. Working in the welfare sector, Chris was charged with & lsquo;frontline’ public services including employment and training, before moving on to industrial recruitment.
Following his appointment by Transline he has not looked back, earning promotions year-on-year to take on a Director role within the company.
Birkby said, “I’m very proud to be promoted to Industrial Operations Director. Despite my relatively young age Transline has shown that it’s willing to put its faith in existing team members to fill new roles.
