IQ's Paul Sharpe at the RI 'The Number 1 Recruiter To Work For' conference

The event included speakers from a diverse range of organisations spanning the recruitment industry. The conference focused on what makes companies successful and how to implement new ways of attracting, retaining and promoting top talent within a business.

Sharpe was invited to speak alongside a line-up of leading industry professionals, with his talk focusing on how to promote employee value proposition in the marketplace using blogs, website content and social media platforms to increase familiarity of an organisation’s brand going beyond simply encouraging candidates to apply for jobs in a transactional manner. Paul discussed candidate attraction in detail, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the recruitment industry, including that of working in-house.

Of the event Sharpe commented, "I was delighted to be invited to speak at this year’s & lsquo;Number 1 Recruiter to work for’ event, not least having seen how successful last year’s event was. The speakers shared some really interesting insights which gave insight & thought leadership. For my part of the day I was able to draw on the recent example of InterQuest’s recent recruitment and candidate attraction campaigns most notably the launch of our new careers website – for which we have already seen some fantastic results in terms of candidate attraction and retention.

"The success of our internal recruitment has come as a direct result of promoting the personality of the organisation and its employees, and the direct impact this has on our EVP. We have worked in a way that enables us to better engage with our audience, and likewise for them to engage with us. I see applying for a role as a by-product of that engagement & the familiarity that people have with the IQ brand."
