TARGETjobs Breakfast News announces BBCs Declan Curry to join team
This is the third of five Breakfast News events in 2014 themed around the recruitment process and Curry will contribute an economic overview of the market, especially as it affects new graduates.
Curry has been a journalist and broadcaster for almost twenty years, specialising in business and economics. He currently presents & lsquo;Your Money’, the BBC’s weekly TV personal finance show, & lsquo; On the Money’, a weekly enterprise and workplace programme on BBC Radio 5 Live, and hosts its TV companion, & lsquo;Show Me The Money’, on the BBC News channel. He is a regular business presenter on 5 Live’s afternoon news programme, & lsquo;Drive’ and has also presented documentaries on radio and television.
Curry was the business presenter for BBC One’s & lsquo;Breakfast’ for seven years, co-presented BBC Two’s & lsquo;Working Lunch’, and broadcast daily on the BBC’s 24 hour television news channel throughout its first eleven years. For almost a decade, Declan broadcast each morning on the US network ABC. He has written for newspapers and magazines in the UK, Ireland and the United States, winning several awards.
TARGETjobs Breakfast News is organised in partnership with Work Group and in association with AGR and was created in 2008 to bring graduate recruiters, recruitment agencies and universities together, over a full English breakfast, to listen to high quality input, discuss the issues of the day and to network with fellow professionals. Over 200 people attend each time, making Breakfast News the most significant and respected regular gathering of the graduate recruitment community in the UK. Now in its seventh successful year there are five events planned for 2014 with the themes following the chronology of the graduate recruitment cycle.
