Leading global recruiter joins The Search Party
The Search Party has announced that Paul Lyons, co-founder of Ambition, has joined the organisation as a non-executive advisor to the board.
Lyons will advise and support The Search Party as it continues to work closer with and support the recruitment industry.
Paul Lyons said: “I’ve been involved in the recruitment industry for over 30 years and I’ve always looked for ways that we as an industry can continue to make what we do better and more efficient.
“When I first spoke to The Search Party I knew this was a model that would complement current recruitment practices and drive new supporting revenue streams.
“The recruitment industry is at a crucial point with competing pressures such as social recruitment tools and margin squeeze impacting business models. I’m very excited to come on as an advisor to help The Search Party work with the industry to open and strengthen new and innovative revenue streams.”
Ben Hutt, The Search Party co-founder and COO, said: “It’s fantastic to have such a well-respected industry veteran come on-board The Search Party.
“The Search Party is aligned with the success of the recruitment industry, so we need to work as closely as we can with recruiters at the coal-face to continue to provide a service that not only complements what they do daily but creates new business opportunities.
“We’ve continued to see huge growth in the marketplace. The Search Party has now signed over five million candidate profiles that are represented by recruitment firms, and employers have made over $2 million in fee offers.”
The marketplace is the brain child of serial entrepreneur Jamie Carlisle, whose background in both recruitment and online businesses provides a natural foundation for success. Carlisle joined forces with Ben Hutt, an ex-management consultant and entrepreneur, passionate in business improvement and strategy, and together they form a balanced and formidable management team.
They observed issues in the recruitment industry, both in terms of pressures on profitability for agencies, and inefficiencies in the process and business model.
The Search Party, with its candidate driven model accelerates the recruitment process, providing a faster better outcome for employers whilst generating a profitable and sustainable revenue stream for agencies.
