Opus expands its reach
Specialising in the UK energy and utility industry, McLean Ross now joins the Opus Group, making up part of the ever growing Opus Group of companies, currently consisting of Opus Information Technology, Opus Global Energy & Engineering, Baltimore Consulting Group, talentcubed and Jackson Morris.
The agreement represents a fantastic opportunity for both Opus and McLean Ross. By joining forces, Opus strengthens its offering in the energy sector, with McLean Ross already having a solid client base including the likes of Npower and Gazprom, McLean Ross is able to get the investment and support needed to really grow their business to the next level.
Speaking of the collaboration, CEO at Opus, Darren Ryemill said, “It really is an exciting piece of recruitment news. As the two companies combine their extensive levels of experience, a new world of potential is now at our fingertips
“Not only can we continue to dedicate time to our existing sectors, but the partnership really strengthens our offering in the energy sector.
“Furthermore, as McLean Ross will be using our systems and investment, we will be able to add value to McLean Ross’ very niche market and help them to grow sufficiently quicker.”
Already well placed as leaders in the industry, McLean Ross sponsored the Sales Professional category in the TELCA 2014 awards - an evening dedicated to the success of energy brokers across the country.
Catherine McLean, founder of McLean Ross said, “By uniting MR’s passion for the energy and utility industry with Opus’ wide knowledge, their established position and great track record of investing in businesses, it certainly acts as a great motivation and driver of future growth for MR”.
Founded in 2008, Opus was featured in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track and ranked among the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK in 2012 and again in 2013. Opus was also ranked as 19th highest profit-making recruitment firm in the UK, whilst Darren Ryemill was recognised as the recruitment Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 - the same year that Opus enjoyed annual turnover in excess of £13 million in 2013.
In addition to McLean Ross joining the Opus Group, there are plans to increase their headcount from 72 to 91 in the next 6 months. Preparations are also well underway for Opus to expand into different geographic regions, with offices due to open in Amsterdam and Sydney by 2015. With all of this in mind, Opus is sending out a strong message that they truly mean business.
