Recruitment campaign for Glasgow 2014 reaches finish line - 33,500 apply
The campaign has reached its final milestone after a final push by Search Consultancy, the official recruitment agency for Glasgow 2014, which confirmed more than 33,500 people applied for the roles.
With Games-time fast approaching, staff have been appointed across a diverse range of skill-sets, with more than 450 job roles filled.

Search Consultancy was charged with finding the best people to power the Games across a range of areas - transport, logistics, financial planning, customer service, security, legal, marketing, medical, catering, cleaning and waste, and contract management, venue specialists, sports technicians, IT experts, administrators and many more.
The Glasgow-headquartered Search Consultancy, which has a network of 13 offices across the UK, used its multi-sector expertise to deliver the right candidates.
The jobs filled by Search are in addition to the 30,000 contractor vacancies and 15,000 volunteer positions, putting Glasgow 2014 at the heart of the largest peacetime recruitment drive Scotland has even seen.
