Heidrick & Struggles appoints supply chain and operations practise partner

As leadership demands grow, Heidrick & Struggles, a premier provider of Executive Search, Leadership Consulting and Culture Change services worldwide, today announced the key leadership appointment of Carlos Garcia, to the firm as Partner within the Supply Chain and Operations Practice. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Garcia joins Heidrick & Struggles from a global executive search firm where he served as Senior Client Partner. His specialty is placing functional leaders in Supply Chain and Operations positions. Garcia's primary focus at Heidrick & Struggles will be growing the practice in the pharmaceutical, biologic and medical technology sectors.

Garcia began his career with Pfizer in an accelerated leadership development program and then worked as Packaging Manager. Garcia then worked at Booz & Co. in Operations and Manufacturing Strategy leading business transformation programs across the Americas andEurope. He ascended through the organization to become Vice President. Since 2004 Garcia has worked in the retained executive search sector and led searches for leaders in sourcing, procurement, manufacturing and related professions.

Garcia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Haverford College in Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University in operations management, marketing and management of organizations. Garcia currently Chairs the Board of Directors of Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services and is a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) as well as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals(CSCMP).
