MRINetwork names new president
McDonald joins MRINetwork, which is a subsidiary of CDI Corp., as a seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in sales, recruitment and franchising. His expertise and strategic oversight will help continue the organization’s history as a leading provider of executive search, as well as the entrepreneurial spirit of its approximately 600 worldwide franchised offices.
“With a strong background in both franchising and recruitment, John is uniquely qualified to take on the role of president of MRINetwork,” said Stuart Batchelor, executive vice president and president of CDI’s Global Staffing Services unit. “We are confident that he has the experience, skill and temperament to guide the organization’s future.”
Prior to joining MRINetwork, McDonald served as president and chief operating officer of Service Brands International, a franchise system with a broad portfolio of home services brands including, Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman, and ProTect Painters. In addition to leadership roles with other companies in the MRO (maintenance, repair, operations), distribution and printing industries, McDonald also worked in the recruitment industry as vice president of North American sales for Manpower Group. During his tenure there, he grew market share by developing an integrated global sales strategy targeting the Fortune 500 market.
“The addition of John to the leadership team is especially critical at this time when MRINetwork is planning to hire several hundred new recruiters worldwide, to take advantage of growth in the market, which Staffing Industry Analysts predicts will increase globally by 5 percent this year,” said Batchelor. “During the past year, competition for top talent in our sector has heated up significantly, fueled by the tightening of the candidate market among the ranks of executives and professionals. Under John’s direction, MRINetwork’s expansion will enable its franchised offices to more quickly provide top talent who will drive growth in the organization’s global client base.”
