Spencer Ogden announce major expansion in U.S.
It is set to open three new offices in the USA. Led by director, Edward Ogden, Spencer Ogden’s North American business has grown rapidly since the launch of its Houston head office in 2012.
The expansion, which will be headed up by Edward and director of the Americas, Henry de Lusignan, will increase the manpower of the US business by approximately 80 per cent by the end of 2014, including four top recruitment executives to lead the new operations.
In the US, new operations are opening in Orlando, San Diego and Denver.
With the US energy sector booming, Spencer Ogden, which has 13 international energy hubs around the world, is targeting America as its major growth market.
Spencer Ogden CEO David Spencer-Percival, the UK’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013, said: “We are expanding rapidly and these new office openings enable us to be closer to our customers.
“We have identified America as a primary focus and we’re delighted to bring new jobs to the recruitment sector as well as deliver the best talent for our clients. This is our first phase of expansion- there will be further office openings in 2015.
“These new businesses are part of our global expansion programme. We particularly recognise there are fantastic opportunities for us in the US, where our clients appreciate both our approach and the results we get for them.”
The first new office to open will be in Lake Mary, Orlando, to help service clients in the area’s power industry. The Spencer Ogden team in Orlando will be led by Bryan Chancellor and his deputy Larissa Morgan, who both have a wealth of experience in the market.
Also opening in August will be a new operation in San Diego, focusing on the renewables sector, as well as California’s oil and gas industry. This will be led by highly experienced international recruiter Stella Cronshey, who has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK as well as California.
Spencer Ogden’s new Denver office will open in LoDo from October 1 to maximise the boom in the region’s oil and gas industry. The team will be led by David Dolman, who has recently joined Spencer Ogden.
Spencer Ogden is the first recruitment consultancy to service the entire end-to-end energy sector. The focus on all energy industries, from oil and gas to renewables and project financing to distribution, is a key driver for the businesses growth and central to its innovative approach.
