Eximius Energy launches technology oil and gas practise
The new Practice has been created to meet increasing client demand for information technology professionals as the energy sector strives to increase efficiency and automate processes.
Sources put current estimates for the level of unstructured data in the oil and gas industry at up to 80 percent. In addition, a recent Microsoft study concluded that a third of oil and gas executives expect their data storage needs to double in the two years to May 2015. The industry is responding with increased IT spend and further development of energy specific software.
The Eximius Energy Technology Practice will serve the industry by placing highly specialised IT professionals across the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. Eximius Energy has appointed Az Lasmi, Manager, to lead the Technology Practice. Az has 16 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, with a focus on placing candidates with development technology experience. He successfully set up the Java and engineering desk at Cititec Associates. Az has also presented at conferences such as Scala days and Devoxx.
