Human Capital Investment Group smashes Brighton and Back charity bike ride

The team set to the challenge with such enthusiasm that this target was quickly smashed! After 7 hours the team had clocked up a whopping 444km making it across the Scottish border to Gretna Green in time for today’s referendum!

Thank you to Fitness First Spitalfields Tower who donated our stationary bikes and their time to help make the event a success.

Please help us support YouthNet by donating via JustGiving.

So far HCIG has raised over &pound10,000 for YouthNet, the UK's leading digital charity. YouthNet help over 1 million 16-25 year olds a year to develop the skills and confidence they need to tackle life's challenges – from finding their first job to coping with mental health issues.

By 2016 YouthNet aim to support 1.6 million young people, that's 20% of the UK's 16-25 population, more than any other youth charity.

One of YouthNet’s key priorities over the next three years is to help young people develop their employability. Getting your first job is an exciting step towards independence, but finding that job in a tough market and feeling unsure of your skills or career goals can be challenging and demoralising. In the worst cases, long-term unemployment can have devastating effects - starting a downward spiral into poverty, homelessness and depression. We need to prevent this.
