Michael Page launches specialist oil & gas office to serve Alberta region of Canada
Michael Page first opened offices in Toronto and Montreal in 2005 and the expansion into Calgary will take advantage of Canadas thriving oil and gas industry throughout the Alberta region.
Since its establishment in 1976, Michael Page has steadily grown a strong international presence in the oil and gas industry with more than 200 specialist oil and gas recruiters worldwide. In 2013 alone, Michael Page placed candidates with more than 200 oil and gas clients, from multinational organisations through to small owner managed businesses.
Based in the heart of Calgarys business district, the new Michael Page office is headed up by director Matthew ODonnell who relocated from the UK after working there since he joined the business in 2008.
“The Alberta region is recognised globally for the strength of its oil and gas industry and we are thrilled to now have a team of specialists right in the heart of it. I’m confident that our unmatched levels of service and our extensive network of oil and gas professionals globally, will help us meet our ambitious growth plans for this new specialist office. The office opening in Calgary reflects Michael Pages wider strategy to invest in the growth of our Canada business, responding to customer demands and recognising high growth markets.
“Michael Page is one of the few organisations with an established network of oil and gas specialists globally and we are determined to develop our network of candidates and build positive, sustainable partnerships with clients to provide the best opportunities and talent,” said Mr ODonnell.
The Michael Page Calgary team will initially focus on recruiting Project Controls, Project Management, Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain and related technical roles for companies in the oil and gas sector.
