Petroplan continues global expansion with senior US hire
Rothwell plans to extend Petroplan’s offering in the region, in a move that will see the company treble its local workforce in the next 12 months.
Mr Rothwell possesses significant recruitment experience in the energy sector and a wealth of local knowledge, having spent 16 years with Michael Page, including 13 years in the United States. Along with sitting on the board of the British American Business Council, MrRothwell is actively involved with the American Petroleum Institute, UK Trade & Industry, Scottish Development International and Young Professionals in Energy.
“What attracted me to Petroplan was the caliber of the people and in particular the vision of Andrew Speers and his leadership team,” states Huw Rothwell, Regional Director for Houston, Petroplan. “The longevity of the brand is also extremely impressive and played a large part in my decision to join. Petroplan is a truly global business and having an opportunity to play a part in its continued evolution is a hugely exciting prospect.”
Launched in 2007, Petroplan’s Houston office currently employs six consultants. Under Mr Rothwell’s leadership, the branch will establish three new teams in contract, permanent and commercial recruitment, which will significantly increase its footprint in the region.
“Huw’s appointment is an important milestone for Petroplan and marks the start of a significant investment in the Houston market. There is great opportunity to be had in the world’s energy capital. Huw’s local knowledge, experience of growing teams and success in launching new service offerings make him the perfect candidate for helping Petroplan realize its potential,” says Andrew Speers, Managing Director of Petroplan.
