Propel London appoint senior positions as growth continues

Propel are one of the UK’s leading digital recruitment specialists, founded in 2001, and have grown up with the ever changing digital industry. Offering talent solutions to businesses operating within the digital economy, Propel’s teams specialise across four key verticals – Marketing, Advertising, Creative Services and Technology.

The constantly evolving nature of the industry has meant an increasing workforce over the last few years and, to offer an effective business management structure, Propel have made two key appointments within their ranks. Previous Commercial Director, James Webb, has been appointed to MD status and Thomas Chambers, who held a Non-Exec Director seat, now holds the position of Chairman.

James has been with Propel for a number of years, with the most recent seeing him entirely focussed on the commercial stability of the organisation. His new role as Managing Director means he continues this particular aspect of his previous role, whilst absorbing a whole new remit of responsibilities.

James commented, “Propel is in a really exciting period of change and becoming the MD at this point in time is a great challenge. We have added Contract and Executive Search teams to our arsenal and our core of permanent contingency is developing its account focussed work. Adding to internal skill sets and efficiencies is something I am keen on doing, as is the constantly shifting challenge of supporting businesses building digital teams.”

The appointment of Thomas Chambers to Chairman is also a strong declaration of Propel’s ability to become the leading force in digital recruitment. A career that includes CFO tenures at Robert Walters (a globally recognised recruitment brand) and Symbian (purchased by Nokia and accredited as the first smart phone software) means Thomas brings an exceptional level of experience to the role.

Thomas commented, “Propel is a fantastic organisation, and one that compelled me to want to be involved with them. Their integrity and ethos is identical to mine and they are an organisation with spark and imagination. Propel don’t want to be pigeon holed as just another recruitment company, they have the talent and desire to be more than that. Guiding them on that path is something I have enjoyed as a Non-Executive Director and wholeheartedly look forward to as Chairman.”
