APSCo Awards for Excellence 2014 winners announced
These coveted annual awards recognise and celebrate achievement in professional recruitment and are a major indicator of professional standards throughout this sector.
The awards ceremony started with a presentation by Susan Scott-Parker OBE – founder and chief executive of the Business Disability Forum – which focused on disability and how the treatment of those with an impairment will stifle economic growth. Scott-Parker pointed out that she is often asked to outline the business case for hiring people with a disability – and as she aptly puts it: “why do we need a business case for treating people fairly?”
Entries for the APSCo Awards were judged by an independent panel of experts, chaired by recruitment veteran Godfrey Morrell. The & lsquo;Recruitment Company of the Year over £50m’, & lsquo;Innovator or the Year’ and & lsquo;CSR Initiative of the Year’ were judged by Aaron Bolan from RBS, Sarah Mason of Talent Advantage Ltd, Paul Awcock from Catlin and Graeme Read of 3RPartnership.
