Blank creates responsive website to target mobile users

The single site now offers the same user experience regardless of the device that a user is accessing the site on. In the past users were routed to a mobile, or a desktop specific site which meant separate user experience levels. The site now enables candidates to apply for job adverts directly via their mobile device or tablet (if they have the Jobsite App) by uploading their CV using cloud base services. In addition all branded job advertisements have been updated so that they keep the correct format on mobiles and tablets.

The responsive site has also impacted the performance of Job Alerts which candidates are emailed once a matching job is published on the site. Around 64% of all candidate emails are opened by users on mobile devices these now link directly to the responsive site meaning that candidates can view and apply for vacancies immediately.

Sophie Relf, marketing director at, said "We have been closely monitoring how candidates are using the site and we couldn't ignore the huge increase in mobile and tablet use. Candidates are checking their job alert emails on their daily commutes and we want to make it easier for candidates to apply there and then, giving them the best shot of landing their dream job, and our advertisers the best chance of finding the best person for their role".
