Nakama celebrates its 5th anniversary & continuing expansion

As a division of the AIM quoted recruitment consultancy, Nakama Group PLC (“the Group”), Nakama has experienced substantial growth over the past five years and has expanded from its UK base to have operations in Europe, Asia and Australia, providing staff for the Web, Interactive, IT and Digital media sectors.

With 85 colleagues around the world and as the only agency in its specialised sector to be listed on the London Stock Exchange, Nakama can now lay claim to being the largest global multi-site specialist recruiter.

In recognition of the wider group’s growing reputation for delivery and honest communication, Nakama Hong Kong was delighted to win & lsquo;Best Digital Agency’ at the Recruitment International Awards in Hong Kong.

Nakama has an enviable blue-chip customer base and this includes on the corporate side, household names such as Apple, John Lewis, Sky and Tesco and on the agency side, names like Ogilvy, Omnicom, Sapient and Starcom MediaVest.

Building from this platform, the Company will further strive to nurture a winning network of customers and candidates and together will drive to create mutual and enduring value.

Commenting on the five year milestone, Paul Goodship, MD of Nakama (London), said, “The past five years have seen all at Nakama and the wider Group invest a huge amount of energy and hard work to establish what is now a substantial platform for further expansion.  Strategically over the next year, we plan to structure and then grow the London office aggressively and within it, to expand our IT (Highams) business. Looking further afield, the Group is exploring opportunities to grow the existing APAC business and potentially to widen the Group’s global footprint through expansion into Japan and the US.

“I look forward to further successful development in London and to our continued ability to increase margins and retain and re-inforce our specialist focus.”
