New Alliance brings entrepreneurial expertise to military charity employment services
This new initiative brings together specialist knowledge of business start-ups, with the employment services delivered by RFEA and Officers’ Association.
The collaboration with X-Forces will join up employment services aimed at helping ex-military personnel find jobs, which the RFEA, The Officers’ Association and The Officers’ Association Scotland currently provide as part of the successful CTP resettlement programme.
The four organisations have a proven track record of delivering highly effective employment and job-finding support and guidance to the whole Armed Forces community, including Service leavers, the wounded, Veterans (including those who are homeless or in the Criminal Justice System), families and reservists.
Ren Kapur, CEO of X-Forces commented. “X-Forces are delighted to have joined forces with the Officers’ Association and RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity to provide a Employment Solutions. The remit of all four partners is to serve the ex-Service community, ensuring they use the extraordinary skills and talents that a career associated with the military has given them – for the benefit of the nation, the economy and themselves. As a combination, the OA, RFEA and XF are ideally positioned to deliver this.”
Stephen Gledhill, Chief Executive of RFEA commented: “Bringing the expertise of RFEA, The Officers’ Association and X-Forces together in this partnership is a hugely exciting step as it has enabled us to offer individuals from the Armed Forces community, across the UK, the very best employment and business start-up support. Tailored to, and no matter what their aspirations and background we will support them to make a successful transition from military life to thrive in civilian working life.”
Lee Holloway, Chief Executive of Officers’ Association commented: “Many talented people are leaving the Services who have a desire to start their own business or enterprise. We have been aware that this is one area within our charity where we have not been able to provide as much help as we would like. We are delighted to be collaborating with X-Forces who have a great track record of nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit within ex-military, supporting them in their business endeavours and ensuring they have the appropriate guidance to fulfil their goal.”
