Brightwork Group backs CIPD employment law evening
The Glasgow and Edinburgh based company is supporting an event organised by the South-East Scotland branch of the CIPD at Edinburgh Napier University, which will feature an Employment Law Quiz Night.
The evening, which is also being supported by Edinburgh Napier University, will take place at the Craiglockhart Campus between 6pm and 8pm on Monday, December 1.
The event will be hosted by Toni McAlindin, an employment lawyer and human resource practitioner with almost 30 years hands on experience. She is at the forefront of the industry advising and training on employment policies, the management of employees, policy development and all aspects of employment law.
She has worked directly in both the private and public sector and her clients have included a wide range of organisations.
Sophie Mears, the HR Training and Development Manager at Brightwork, who is a CIPD member and has been volunteering with the organisation for three years, said, "The CIPD evening will allow HR Professionals, students working towards their HR Degrees and CIPD members to get an update on current law and case law.
"The CIPD has more than 130,000 members internationally. As an independent and not for profit organisation, it is committed to championing better work and working lives for the benefit of individuals, business, economies and society."
Group managing director Anthony Knight commented, "Brightwork is very pleased to be able to back this event, which will throw light on the ever-increasing complexities of employment law and practices."
