Caritas Recruitment pass APSCo compliance +
The new standard sets an industry wide best practice benchmark for social work recruitment ensuring children, young people and vulnerable adults are safeguarded.
In her role as the Chair of APSCo’s social work sector group Caritas’ CEO, Debbie Smith has been a key champion for improving safeguarding across the sector. “I am delighted to have passed our recent Compliance audit. The new standards go above and beyond the statutory requirements and have been designed with Ofsted, HCPC and DBS criteria at heart, ensuring that all social work clients including local authorities are ultimately receiving better prepared, better suited and better trained candidates”.
Caritas will continue to be audited against the best practice requirements of Compliance on an annual basis. Smith comments, “The audit is conducted by a professional auditor with an in-depth understanding of the social work sector to ensure it isn’t just a & lsquo;box ticking’ exercise, but rather involves interactions with the business’s consultants, candidates and clients to ensure that safeguarding and high service levels are consistently delivered throughout the organisation”.
Caritas will continue to be pioneers in recruitment best practice working with organisations like APSCo to ensure that clients, candidates and vulnerable end users are protected.
