New international head for Consilium Group
The niche recruitment business, which specialises in professional roles across the automotive, technology and engineering sectors, has appointed Peter Smukowski as international projects manager.
The 32-year-old joins the Stratford-upon-Avon based firm to head Consilium’s International arm. He will be dedicated to managing overseas appointments and building key relations predominantly across mainland Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Russell Tuck, director and co-founder of Consilium Group, believes Mr Smukowski’s appointment will drive forward the global side of the business by utilising his contacts and market knowledge to source the best talent for clients, which include companies such as Bosch, Jaguar Land Rover, Dyson and McLaren.
He said: “We’ve always had multi-national interests but Peter’s appointment gives us a dedicated expert who can focus solely on what is a rapidly growing market for us.”
“He will be sourcing talented industry professionals on an international scale. But vitally, Peter will also be working to place UK-based specialists into some exciting global roles and will bring experts from abroad into UK businesses.
“Peter is already building upon the existing great relations we have in Europe and especially in the Middle East and Asia.
“I am convinced that Peter joining us will propel the business onto a different level within the next 12 months.”
Peter Smukowski, added: “I have been working with international businesses for over seven years and during that time have developed a strong network of contacts across automotive, engineering and high technology sectors.
“It’s exciting to be able to use those contacts to help boost Consilium’s international interests and just as importantly, to source the exact type of people that our clients require to fill a variety of roles.”
Established in 2001, Consilium employs over 30 people between its headquarters in Stratford-upon-Avon and its sister office in Stourport-on-Severn. Earlier this year it was voted one of the UK’s best places to work, coming ninth in the prestigious Great Place to Work Institute’s best small business category.
