Tim Watts in the Hall of Fame
He was inducted into the Recruitment International & lsquo;Hall of Fame’ this week following an unrivalled career that spans more than 40 years.
During that time, Tim has successfully steered Pertemps from being a one-off, family business in Birmingham to becoming the largest independently owned recruitment agency in the UK, with an annual turnover in excess of £700m.
The industry came together in London on Wednesday to celebrate his spectacular career as he picked up the most coveted award of the evening.
It was a memorable night all round for Tim as his business, Pertemps Network Group (PNG), was named the Best Recruitment Company to Work For (£100m).
Tim Watts, now Lifetime President of PNG, said: “To be recognised by the recruitment industry in this way is truly humbling but it is also testament to the growing reputation of Pertemps Network Group throughout not just the UK, but the whole of Europe. We started off as a small business in the West Midlands and have now become one of the big hitters in the recruitment world. However, we have always remained true to our original family values and for that I am exceptionally proud.”
Tim Watts, who is also currently serving on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen as High Sheriff for the West Midlands, was earlier this year named as one of the most influential leaders in the European staffing industry.
Tim Watts joined Pertemps in the summer of 1970, initially only as a temporary measure to assist the company’s founder, his mother Constance Watts, who had previously launched the business in 1961.
