IRP IMA interim consultant of the year revealed

In their sixth year, the awards are part of the Recruitment & Employment  Confederation’s (REC) Institute of Recruitment Professionals and are designed to celebrate excellence, best practice and inspirational work carried out across the recruitment industry.

The IMA Interim Consultant of the Year was open to providers who deliver high quality interim management services, and work for an organisation that is either a member of the IMA or meets the high professional standards set by the organisation. Judges were looking for an individual who consistently performs above his or her peers by providing a first-class service to clients and interim managers. The winner must show how his or her revenue performance is above that of their peers or industry norms.

Dan Whitley is a senior client director with financial services specialist firm, Campion Willcocks. He has worked in the recruitment sector for more than 15 years, focusing on interim management for the last six. During his time with Campion Willcocks he has demonstrated real track record in achieving results for organisations. He has been asked by clients to provide complete teams of contract change professionals, in addition to senior interim managers.

Commenting on his win, Whitley said, "I am delighted to have been recognised as an industry leader for interim recruitment, with such a prestigious award. It is further proof that building deep and long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates alike, creates a real differentiator in an ever-competitive market. I am a firm believer that recruiters need to be honest about what can and can't be achieved. Establishing yourself as a trusted business partner is the key to success."

Richard Clifford, managing director at Campion Willcocks, commented, “It is fantastic to see Dan’s hard work and incredibly high values rewarded in this way.  He continues to be at the forefront of positioning interim management as a strategic resourcing solution within the financial services sector. We are very proud of his achievement.”

Simon Drake, chairman of the IMA and director at Penna Plc, added, "Congratulations to Dan on this win - the competition was strong this year. Increasingly interim managers are being recognised by businesses across the UK - most notably in the financial services sector. It is the work of Dan and other accomplished recruiters that are helping to promote the good work that we do."

Toni Hall from Penna came in as runner up.

The Interim Management Association (IMA) is the industry body representing the leading UK companies that recruit interim managers.
