Job board unveils new look to boost application numbers

Already receiving excellent reviews for improved usability and aesthetics, the new homepage can be viewed here:  

Along with prominent search functions and simple CV registration, the new layout provides easier links to the most popular candidate site sections, whilst maintaining a simplistic, visually appealing style throughout.

The new site aims to: 

Improve site navigation

Provide more brand building opportunities for employers

Support mobile device users to a greater extent

Generate even more job views and applications

Attract new users and enhance the experience of existing users 

The homepage now includes prominent links to sections including Training Courses, the Career Advice Centre and the CV-Library App Store. Plus, client logos are now seen to scroll across the centre of the landing page, inviting even more candidates to view company profiles. 

Further site improvements are planned for 2015, with the visual re-design reaching other parts of the site, and improved functionalities in the pipeline for both recruiters and candidates. 

The major overhaul was the work of the career site’s in-house design team and comes as a response to the technical demands of an increasing client and candidate base. 

To ensure the homepage did everything it should, focus groups were held to ascertain user journeys, and visitors were encouraged to feed back with their thoughts. Head of Design and Creative Guru Russell Harman, said, “With a job board, there’s a lot of information to display. We had to find a way to do so intelligently and concisely, without compromising on design.”
