Nicholas Associates appoints head of recruitment

The role will see him lead on company strategy and direction, working alongside non-recruitment services to enhance and promote the company’s complete offer following a year that has seen robust performance in its core business.

Nicholas Associates has enjoyed significant brand establishment in 2014, along with growth in its construction, engineering and manufacturing operations as demand for production talent has boomed, creating an increasingly candidate driven market.

Bone joined the company in January when his specialist agency, Trinity Recruitment Group, was acquired by the national player. This brought to the company new financial, creative and HR divisions and these sectors are identified as further areas for growth on 2015.

Nicholas Associates has increased its resourcers and consultants by almost 50% to meet the growing demands and the plan for 2015 is for the recruitment operation to at least double in size and support other areas.

Director, Paul Brammer, commented, “This strategic appointment will help position ourselves in a number of vertical markets, which will also open up opportunities for our non-recruitment products such as software development and business consultancy to support client growth.

“Peter has quickly acquired a thorough understanding of our operations across many sectors, as we work with an increasingly scarce labour resource acutely aware of its own marketability.”

Among Nicholas Associates’ unique line-up of specialisms that support recruitment are learning and talent development, leadership and innovation, software solutions and the Apprentice Employment Agency.

The new year will see the launch of a breakthrough emotional intelligence tool for senior appointments, with consultants working closely with clients to ensure right first time recruitment.

Peter Bone said, “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to help integrate and harmonise recruitment and non-recruitment offers. Working together, our HR and consultancy providers intend to establish a world-class reputation for long-term client profitability and sustainability.”
