Julie Towers, Penna Plc MD, appointed to Guardian public leaders editorial advisory board
The 2015 board, comprised of eight other public leaders, provides a platform for those working in the industry to share their views on policy, management and leadership issues in their sector. With two editorial meetings in a year, nominated editorial advisory board members will support the Guardian’s public leader with planning coverage for the year ahead.
Commenting on her appointment, Julie Towers says, “It’s a privilege to have been nominated for a position on the Guardian public leaders editorial advisory board. Having worked in, and with, the public sector for 30 years now - from Nottinghamshire county council to Riley (now Havas), Tribal Group to Penna – I’m incredibly passionate about policy issues and the way they are explored in the media. With the general election just around the corner, it’s going to be another exciting and challenging year for the sector – so a great time for me to be involved.”
