Odgers Interim establishes dedicated referencing team
Former solicitor, Sally Havers, who has previously held roles at city law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and the Treasury Solicitor, will lead the offering, which includes professional referencing, and criminal, financial and tribunal checks.
The announcement comes as businesses and organisations across the private and public sector face increasing legislative and commercial requirements to conduct extensive due diligence on new appointments. The team will support the firm’s consultants, who already provide sector-specific support and advice to interims and clients.
Sally Havers, referencing consultant at Odgers Interim, said, “Interims applying for senior leadership and non-executive director positions are under increasing scrutiny. More than ever, interims need to understand fully what is required of them and have all the necessary information to meet clients’ exacting expectations.
“The referencing team will underpin the sector specific expertise of our consultants to ensure that all interims have undergone systematic and thorough-going due diligence checks. Our raison d’?tre, is to provide our clients with the best interim service, currently available in the market. This is another way of further improving our service to clients, giving them & lsquo;peace of mind’ whilst remaining responsive to their evolving needs.”
Grant Speed, managing director at Odgers Interim, commented, “Consistency and quality referencing has always been an integral part of our business. Sally has been a great addition to the team and uses her experience in law to build a dedicated team that will offer best-in-class referencing to our clients and interims.”
