Pure Search expand into human resources
“Our aim at Pure is to offer a holistic service to our clients, and with the increasingly sophisticated market in Asia, expansion into HR is integral in meeting that goal” said Liam Richardson, Managing Director of Pure Search Hong Kong.
The HR function across businesses in Asia is reaching maturity evolving into an increasingly strategic partnership role, and is no longer seen as merely an administrative function. HR has grown to encompass wider issues, typically, Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organisation Development. Over the next 12 months, hiring will develop further to include Succession Planning and HR Risk with the emphasis on replacing rather than increasing headcount to promote organic growth internally. Talent management has been identified as a key objective for HR professionals in 2015, and many companies have substantially increased their budgets to include talent management programs ranging from training, overseas posting and retention incentives.
Elaine Khoo said “Top quality HR professionals have an increasing presence in Hong Kong, both organically through development within MNCs as well as those who have come from abroad to engage with this stimulating market. HR is more than just a job title now, they play a key role within the firm. I am genuinely excited about what the future holds for this burgeoning arena”.
