Recruitment companies collaborate with Swedish teaching unions
It is the first collective agreement adapted for teachers of temporary workers. Teachers who are hired to be rented out to schools now receive the same basic terms as teachers employed directly by the school.
Teachers hired temporary workers to be hired out to the schools have individual salaries, just as the schools' own teachers. The agreement is adapted to the school's special world, making it better suited for employment and hiring of teachers than Staffing Agencies collar agreement, which currently applies to teachers.
- It is important for us to be able to offer members the collective agreements with counterparties that organizes teachers and content tailored to the schools' activities especially concerning working time rules, says Staffing Agencies negotiator Hanna Bystrom.
The agreement contains the same types of employment other agreements on school property, on permanent, probationary and temporary contracts. When the teacher is not rented, compensation will be paid under the guarantee rule. Teachers recruited workers have the right to refuse an assignment. Those who opt out will leave and who is on leave must not pay. The right to refuse is unique to the employment agency and are available in all collective agreements Bemanningsföretagen signs except to the agreement signed with the LO unions.
For the Agreement will be valid for a company, the company or the union may request that the Agreement shall take effect on the company. (This is called switch-on contract and have been able to commence on 1 January 2015.)
- It is gratifying that this agreement is now in port for another important occupational group in society, says Henrik Bäckström, Director of the Association Staffing Agencies.
