Classpeople announce first winner of its new monthly award
Classpeople, education recruitment specialists in the South–West, today announced the winner of their new monthly award & lsquo;Recognising the Best in Education’, as 29 year old Cheltenham based primary supply teacher Ben Smith.
The monthly award, which has been launched to show appreciation for the valuable hard work that supply teachers and early years practitioners provide, will run across Classpeople’s five branches with each branch nominating just one candidate each. The winners, chosen by the senior management team, are based on a number of criteria including continued positive feedback and going the extra mile to help out a school or setting. Each winner will receive a Classpeople certificate, a bottle of champagne and £100 worth of vouchers.
Ben Smith, winner of the award, comments
“Following graduation, I signed up with Classpeople and found myself regularly covering schools within Gloucestershire, as well as helping out as far as Bristol. I feel honoured to have won and pleased that my hard work and dedication has been recognised but I feel I have already 'won' so much more by being given the opportunities I never thought I would have. With teaching it really is true when people say - The more you put in, the more you get out.”
Naomi Howells, Cheltenham Branch Manager, Classpeople, explains
“We are delighted that the first winner is one of the Cheltenham team. We chose to put Ben forward because of his flexible and reliable approach to supply work. He is always happy to go that extra mile and is a hard working individual that is always a pleasure to work with!”
