Full speed ahead for Omega Resource Group's charity support programme
Alexandra Field, Michael Harper, Ian Wills, Rupert Wakefield and Jeremy Strickland will be running the London Marathon for the Spring Centre on behalf of Omega Resource Group. All first time London Marathoners, the team is aiming to raise £6000 for the children's care charity. They have already raised over £1,600.
Omega Resource Group has chosen the Spring Centre as its 2015 charity of the year. Founded in 1985, the Spring Centre operates in Gloucestershire and provides care and support to children and young people with disabilities and their families, with the aim of improving and enriching their quality of life.
James Strickland, sales director at Omega Resource Group, commented: "We're really looking forward to cheering on our runners as they compete in the 2015 London Marathon. The charity offers fantastic support to children with special needs across Gloucestershire and we're proud to name the Spring Centre as our charity of the year. We're planning many events and fundraising opportunities for the Spring Centre over the next year with the Three Peaks challenge as our second large event of 2015."
The global recruitment group, mainly specialised in manufacturing and engineering, regularly takes part in initiatives aimed at raising money for charities across the UK. Last year they raised £5000 for Cheltenham charity, Hop Skip and Jump.
