Macildowie has record year following midlands job boost
As the economy has picked up post-recession, Macildowie has registered and filled a record number of vacancies across its specialist disciplines, including HR, sales and marketing, finance and procurement and supply chain.
“This has been a fantastic year for the whole team,” commented James Calder, chief executive of Macildowie.
“We have helped thousands of people find new jobs in the past 12 months across Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Northampton and Warwickshire. The company has significantly increased its market share and our team has expanded to handle the growth.
“The staff we have working across the Midlands are fantastic, they are all at the top of their game and have helped to build a great business. So much so, that earlier this year we achieved & lsquo;Extraordinary’ status with & lsquo;Best Companies’ for the fourth consecutive time.”
They registered almost 60,000 CVs in 2014 from across the East Midlands.
Looking ahead to 2015, Macildowie expect to see a real “war for talent” as businesses have to compete for the best candidates, meaning so candidates have more choice.
In Nottingham, the team placed hundreds of people in jobs across the region in companies such as Boots, Experian, Wilkinsons and Nottingham Trent University.
Alex Alcock, associate director and manager of the Nottingham office added, “The job market in Nottingham soared in 2014, and we have been perfectly placed to fill these positions.
“In particular, we’ve seen digital and e-commerce roles rocket by 10 per cent every six months. The market is definitely growing, and quickly too, as companies are struggling to move quick enough to match market demands.”
