ManpowerGroup first global workforce Solutions company to obtain new Vietnamese subleasing license
“I am delighted that we can now offer the full suite of ManpowerGroup solutions to our clients in Vietnam” said Simon Matthews, ManpowerGroup country manager for Vietnam, Thailand and Middle East. “In a highly complex emerging market, this legislation ensures the continued competitiveness for multi-national organizations seeking to utilize short term labour. For individuals, this development will create much-needed employment and skills development opportunities in a wide range of sectors.”
The new Subleasing License is one of the most significant aspects of the new labour code adopted by the National Assembly of Vietnam, providing for the first time a set of comprehensive guidelines for the provision of outsourcing and temporary staffing in the market. The development of this labour code was supported by ManpowerGroup globally though the provision of labour research, consultation and a European study for the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour to understand how the provision of temporary work and outsourcing has transformed labour markets across Europe.
Ram Chandrashekar, ManpowerGroup president, Asia Pacific and Middle East comments, “In the year of the ASEAN Economic Community and with the opening of a freer flow of capital, investment, and skilled labor, the potential in this region is high. ManpowerGroup’s commitment to increasing its services globally enables companies investing in these markets to successfully grow their own operations while tapping into the competitive advantage of a flexible workforce.”
ManpowerGroup Vietnam received the license to provide this service from December 2014.
