Meridian Business Support appoints HR director

This promotion is recognition of the role of HR in ensuring the alignment of the talent, recruitment and organisational development with Meridian’s business objectives to drive financial success and growth.

His leadership in HR has delivered great success in the last three years, with HR transformed from a personnel-focused, supporting organisational function to a client-facing, strategic partner to the business.

“Moreover, the tangible results in the last year have demonstrated significant ROI for the business. Steve and his team have created the Behaviours & Values framework which supports Vision 20|20 delivered 179 days of training and led the Talent Acquisition team in the recruitment of new talent.”

Steve Jeffers, who reports to Jeanette Barrowcliffe, financial director, says: “2015 is an important year for the business and I am looking forward to ensuring that Meridian meets the HR challenges of the next 12 months head on.”

The appointment follows the three recent appointments to the board of directors. Tina Cork, operations director, health business unit Richard Ewing, operations director, construction business unit and Andrew Pettingill, managing director, industrial and office & professional business unit, all joined the board last month.
