Samuel Rhodes is an “Outstanding” special school in Islington where children have learning difficulties and associated medical, communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs. Pupils are disadvantaged socially and financially, with over 70% of pupils living in poverty (eligible for free school meals, low income families). http://www.samuelrhodes.islington.sch.uk/
The school needs urgent funding for a sensory room to enable children to escape the sometimes overwhelming demands of classroom life offering a space for calm and focus.
As Cindy O’Sullivan Head of Primary explains, “A lot of our children find it very difficult to cope with overwhelming family challenges and their own emotions. This can result in extremely challenging behaviour, harm to themselves and others, and an inability to join in learning activities. Having a sensory room in the school offering a space for calm and focus where children can enjoy music, visuals and interact with sound would help children manage their behaviour and be a huge asset for these children who face the toughest challenges every day.”
To make your bid all you need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org with the amount you want to bid, your name, company, email address and mobile number.
Deadline to receive bids is 4.30pm
The winner will be notified by email/mobile at 5.30pm on Friday 27th February and the ticket delivery will be organised.
