Drivers Direct employee wins trip to New York
The winner, Helen Walker who manages the company’s Crewe branch, won the trip after achieving the highest grossing profit from the company’s 21 branches across the UK.
Drivers Direct run the annual competition across all of its 21 branches, with three prizes awarded across the business, including trips to Paris and London, with the star prize being a trip to New York. The winners were announced at the company’s annual charity Black Tie dinner in London.
Whilst in New York, Walker took the opportunity to visit many famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Walker, who visited the city with her mother, had not visited the state since her 21st birthday and found the trip to be
emotional as the Twin Towers were still standing when she previously visited.
Gethin Roberts, owner and managing director of the company, comments, “We run the awards because we want our employees to feel appreciated and to know that their hard work does not go unnoticed. Helen deserved to win this trip as she has worked exceptionally hard throughout 2014 and delivered some fantastic results. She’s a real asset to the Drivers Direct team and a deserving winner.”
Established in 2002, Drivers Direct supplies more than 750 drivers each week to both public and private sectors bringing in a multitude of drivers across all classes. The company currently has 21 branches across the UK and plans to expand to a further six sites in the near future.
