GTI Media launches TARGETcareers
With over 25 years’ experience of producing market-leading graduate careers products and services under the brands TARGETjobs, TARGETjobs Events and TARGETpostgrad, GTI is ideally placed to meet the growing need for careers advice and information for ambitious 15–18 year olds.
The TARGETcareers product portfolio has been created following detailed research in 2014 – the trendence School Leaver Barometer and the Parental Influence Report – as well as focus groups with current A level students and discussions with teachers, careers advisers and employers. This will ensure they meet the information needs of students, schools and parents.
The first products to launch are The 100 Most Popular Employers for School Leavers andTARGETcareers Construction, Engineering & Property.Both are being distributed to more than 4,500 schools during National Careers Week, of which TARGETcareers is an official supporter.
The 100 Most Popular Employers for School Leavers is the school leaver equivalent of The Guardian UK 300 and is produced in partnership with CASCAID. It is based on data from 7,000 year 10–13 school and college students who completed the trendence School Leaver Barometer. It ranks the top 100 employers in the UK that offer school leaver and apprenticeship programmes, divided by sector and region, plus the top 20 universities as voted for by students.
TARGETcareers Construction, Engineering & Property is for students, and parents of students aged 14–19 interested in careers in engineering, surveying, construction and property. It promotes these sectors as attractive places to work and explains in detail the different entry routes: university, apprenticeship or school leaver scheme.
