Alexander Daniels strengthens its educational division
Experienced recruiter Steve Underwood has joined Alexander Daniels, which has offices in Birmingham and Bristol, to head up its education team as divisional manager. Underwood has more than 15 years in the industry, latterly as head of recruitment at a large FE College.
He has been joined by Caroline Garnett who has operated at a senior level for over eight years, latterly as regional manager for a national education agency.
AD Education supports and works in partnership with colleges and FE providers, supplying interim, visiting and sessional staff across curriculum, senior management and business support.
“Having managed recruitment onsite with a college environment Caroline and I understand the ever changing demands on teaching and learning staff at all levels and the importance this has on the impact of the learners,” says Underwood.
He added, “Apprenticeships are now at the top of the Government’s agenda and there is a severe skills shortage, particularly in STEM subjects, which are also impacted by a shortage of lecturers and assessors. This is why AD Education works in partnership with colleges and training providers to support resource gaps.”
Nick Pearce, director at Alexander Daniels, said, “Alexander Daniels continues to expand and we are delighted to welcome Steve and Caroline to the team. As with our other divisions, our education team is staffed exclusively by people with a track record in the sector who possess an intimate knowledge of both the current trends within it and the challenges it faces.”
