VMA Group expands into Africa
The news follows the successful establishment of VMA Group’s operation in Europe, with offices in Amsterdam and Brussels, to cover wider European territories, as well as the April 2015 opening of the new Paris, France, operation.
Daniel Munslow, an experienced international communications consultant and trainer, has been appointed to the team heading up VMA Group’s Africa practice. Having worked in both corporate and consulting environments, Daniel brings more than 12 years’ experience within the communications arena.
The Africa operation will replicate the focus on corporate and internal communications, investor relations, marketing and brand communication roles in South Africa and across the continent. In addition, VMA Enhance will deliver a comprehensive range of communication and leadership development training courses for teams and individuals with a range of career backgrounds, from communications professionals to senior leaders and project managers, or anyone with a communication responsibility.
Commenting on the new office opening, VMA Group Chief Executive, Julia Meighan, said: “This exciting news follows ten years of unprecedented growth for VMA Group and highlights the ambition of our 70-strong team to be the world’s leading provider of dedicated corporate communications and PR talent.”
“Taking our first steps into Africa, along with our market leading operations in the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific and our strategic alliance in the US, is incredibly heartening - it strengthens our service to our clients and candidates who are searching for global expertise, talent and roles.”
Daniel Munslow, Principal Consultant, VMA Group Africa, said: “I am excited by the opportunity to help build VMA Group’s Africa practice, brand and service offering. As the communication landscape in South Africa continues to evolve, so does the need to source, retain, and develop the top talent we have in our marketplace. VMA Group is perfectly positioned to support its clients and candidates as the communication function continues to grow across Africa in all the specialist disciplines VMA represents.”
Recent market research confirms that the communication function in Africa is set to experience continued growth in the coming years with a large number of South African businesses indicating the establishment of satellite communication offices in West Africa over the next two years and global offices seeking an enhanced presence in South Africa to address local market needs. This new office location strengthens the VMA Group service to our clients and candidates who are searching for global expertise, talent and roles.
