Pertemps awarded international security standard
Gaining ISO 27001:2013 certification means that Pertemps has been independently verified and certified to be securing and managing all company and customer information at the highest level possible.
Additionally, by implementing the latest 2013 version, Pertemps’ Information Security Management System (ISMS) is compliant with the latest best practices, controls and industry standards.
Protecting information is a top priority for all companies in the modern connected world and there are potential consequences if it is not handled properly.
John Smith, chairman of Pertemps Network Administration Limited, said, “In the past few years several large companies have had to deal with intrusions or & lsquo;hacks’ that have resulted in the loss or exposure of sensitive customer information. Preventing similar instances and ensuring the safety of all sensitive data is a top priority for Pertemps.
“We have taken proactive actions to ensure that information is managed and stored securely so that our partners and customers can have complete confidence in the safety of the information they share with us. Gaining ISO 27001: 2013 certification allows us to deliver a demonstrable level of security for our customers.”
The ISO 27001:2013 was certified by a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) Government recognised accredited body and the process required Pertemps to:
• Evidence the thorough evaluation of its own information security risks, including the impact of any identified threats or vulnerabilities
• Demonstrate a comprehensive set of information security controls and other risk management measures to address security risks within its own infrastructure and its corporate environment
• Display an overarching programme ensuring that the information security controls meet the information security needs for both Pertemps and its customers on an ongoing basis
