InterQuest Group contract business delivering strong results
At the meeting, Gary Ashworth, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, will make the following statement:
"The Company entered the current financial year with a strong contractor book and a business model well placed to benefit from continued growth in the niche areas of the recruitment market in which it operates. We have remained focussed on delivering organic growth across our specialist disciplines, with an emphasis on both winning new clients and improving our ability to cross-sell the Company's range of niche offerings to our existing customers.
"It is therefore very pleasing to report that the efforts of the Company are being rewarded and delivering financial results in line with management expectations. Our contract business has continued the positive momentum seen in 2014 and our permanent business has strengthened further with particularly good performance being seen during the second quarter. We have also seen continued improvement in operating margins.
"During the period the Company won several new contracts as well as renewing and expanding existing contracts with some of our largest customers. A notable highlight was the contract with the European Banking Authority and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority where we were awarded 'primary supplier' status for a period of up to four years.
"Our business will remain focussed and we will continue to expand into new areas of the digital and technology market as they emerge. Given the expertise within the Company and, with confidence building in the economic outlook, we look forward to the rest of the year with optimism"
