Randstad launches salary tool to help employees establish their value
The tool is believed to be the most comprehensive wage comparator available, using more than 870,000 CVs and salaries to build an accurate, detailed picture of what employers should be earning.
In addition to establishing their employment value, users of the tool will be able to take advantage of additional functionality including how their tax payments get used by the government and how their wages compare to celebrity A-listers.
Those unhappy with their lot will be able to establish the best-paid jobs in their area and browse new opportunities which will have the difference from their current salary included in the listing.
The microsite will also include job comparison tools centred on the importance of salary and the impact it has on job fulfilment.
Mark Bull, UK managing director, said, “As a nation Brits are tremendously coy about discussing money issues and discussing your salary is one of the final taboos. This means it can be hard to establish what you should be earning for the role and area you are in, save from vague national averages that aren’t easily translated into real terms. We have developed this tool so that workers – regardless of where they live in the UK or what field they operate in – are able to get an accurate picture of what they are worth. Should this exceed what they are currently earning, then there are a number of tools at their disposal to help them find a role that will pay them their true value.”
