TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards announces headline partner

Held at Mayfair’s Grosvenor House, the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards attracts an audience of over 1,400 recruiters, agencies, universities and professional bodies who gather each year to witness 28 awards being given to the UK’s top employers, as voted for by a huge poll of over 40,000 students, conducted by top research consultancy trendence.

Winners of the 2015 awards, which were handed out by actor and television personality Lenny Henry, included MI6, Rolls-Royce, HSBC, GlaxoSmithKline, PwC and National Grid. The climax of the evening was the Graduate Employer of the Year Award, won by L’Oreal.

National Grid were also the headline partners for the 2015 Awards and used the night of the event memorably to showcase their supported internship programme, EmployAbility, which gives school leavers with learning difficulties a real chance of employment. National Grid hopes that other employers will adopt this model.

On 6th April 2016, all the significant players in the graduate and entry-level recruitment field will gather to recognise outstanding achievement from organisations and individuals involved in the critical business of ensuring that the UK’s top talent continues to contribute to the success of  industry, business and public services.

Steve Holliday, National Grid’s chief executive, says, “Too many young people are not reaching their potential whilst many organisations are struggling to find the skills they need. National Grid is proud to be headline sponsor of the TARGETjobs Awards for the second year running, which recognises organisations that are making a real difference.”
