Charity retro disco aims to smash fundraising record
The charity disco, to be held at Parkstone Grammar School, on 25th September 2015 has already attracted a number of high profile local sponsors including Heart FM who will be supplying the retro tunes, along with a party photo booth sponsored by Greendale Construction to add to the fun. Motivational Maps, Bright Blue Day and RUND Partnership have also jumped on-board the fundraiser extravaganza as generous sponsors, which also includes a charity auction offering exciting prizes such as the chance to drive a luxury car for the day, paintballing, pampering sessions and restaurant vouchers.
Disco fans are encouraged to dig out their flares, ra-ra skirts, lacy gloves, day-glo tops, frilly shirts and white socks for the occasion as a prize will go to the best dressed on the night.
Jobshop UK director, Frances Miles, said, “We are delighted to be organising our annual charity event for Lewis-Manning Hospice and know that a retro themed disco will appeal to a broad spectrum of people who love dancing to the sounds of the 70s, 80s and 90s. We’re embracing the retro theme with a meal-in-a-basket included in the ticket price of just £15. We are keen to sell multiple tickets for groups of people who want to come together whether they be work colleagues or friends. There will be some surprises throughout the night to add some extra fun to the evening too. All proceeds go to Lewis-Manning Hospice and so we really want to smash last year’s total!”
